Tottenham are reportedly set for a summer spree as the club will try to sign around 5 players ahead of what will be the team’s first full season at the new stadium.
Full back is certainly one problem area where Spurs might look to add reinforcements. Danny Rose has not been able to get a run of games under his belt after suffering multiple injury setbacks over the last couple of seasons.
One left back who Spurs have been linked with is Leicester City man Ben Chilwell. Chilwell has evolved into one of the best full-backs in the League in the last couple of years and has become a regular in Gareth Southgate’s England team.
The 22-year-old is also said to be attracting interest from Manchester City, and according to a report in Foxes of Leicester, a deal for Chilwell to join Man City is as good as done.
The report claims that Leicester are expecting the England international to join City in the summer and have identified Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney as his replacement.
Given how much Chillwell is likely to cost, it was always going to be a long shot to expect Spurs to compete for his signature.
