Report: Tottenham told to pay £39m for teenage sensation this summer

According to a report in UOL, Barcelona are willing to sell Tottenham target Vitor Roque this summer but only for a big fee.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation on the future of Roque, with various reports suggesting that the striker’s agent has reached out to several clubs, including Spurs, about a potential summer move away from Barca (TBR Football).

Many publications have pointed out over recent days that Tottenham held a strong interest in the Brazilian last summer before he moved to Catalonia, adding that the North London side have come forward again for the striker (AS).

Barcelona are willing to sell Vitor Roque

UOL have now also mentioned Tottenham as one of the clubs interested in Roque and they suggest that Barca would be willing to let the player go.

They say that the striker does not feature in Xavi Hernandez’s plans and the La Liga giants are willing to cash in on him, given their financial issues ahead of the summer.

However, it is made clear that the Camp Nou hierarchy would not let Roque leave on the cheap, with the club allegedly demanding €45m (£38.7m) for the youngster.

Tottenham and a few other clubs will be sniffing around a few of Barcelona’s players this summer, given the Blaugrana’s financial issues.

There is the potential of a few of their players being sold on discounts this summer and one would expect Spurs to potentially test the waters for both Roque and Raphinha.
