Report: Tottenham ‘very interested’ in striker with 28 goals in 21 games this season

Tottenham Hotspur are still very short when it comes to senior strikers in North London, with Harry Kane the sole figure to lead the line for Jose Mourinho.

Of course, Harry Kane would be first-choice over the vast majority of forwards in the world, but Spurs are lacking that back-up striker to call on through injuries and rest periods.

Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura can both cover as strikers, while young Troy Parrott offers a different and more inexperienced option.

However, Alfredo Pedulla is reporting that Spurs are now ‘very interested’ in Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland, who has been in sensational form this season.

The striker currently has a jaw-dropping 28 goals and seven assists in just 21 games for his club this season (Transfer Markt).

Spurs are said to be keen on doing further evaluations on the player after changing managers from Pochettino to Mourinho last month.

Haaland has been valued at £84m by the Mirror.
