Report: Tottenham want Kylian Mbappe on season-long loan from PSG

Tottenham Hotspur want to take Kylian Mbappe on loan this season from Paris-Saint Germain before he seals a switch to Real Madrid in 2024, according to inews.

The report claims that PSG are determined to offload the French international during the current transfer window after becoming convinced he has already lined up a move to the Spanish giants at the end of the season and will not accept him walking away for free.

Sources suggest that the Ligue 1 champions are even prepared to loan Mbappe out this season providing his eyewatering £1million-a-week plus bonuses package are covered by the interested club.

PSG believe that Mbappe has agreed a £106million signing-on feee to move to the Bernabeu as a free agent and is said to be prepared to sit on the bench all season in order to get his wish to move to La Liga.

Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United have all made contact with PSG to sound out a move, while Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, have tabled a world record £259m bid for the World Cup Golden Boot winner.

A move to the Middle East could be just be for one year, with an astonishing £600m salary on offer, before he joins Real Madrid as planned.

It seems beyond belief that Tottenham would be in the running to take Mbappe on loan, especially with wages north of £1million-per-week, even if Harry Kane does end up packing his bags for Bayern Munich.
