Report: Tottenham want to insert obligation-to-buy into potential loan deal

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur want to add an obligation-to-buy clause into Tanguy Ndombele’s potential loan to PSG this month.

The report also reinforces a claim made by Fabrizio Romano that Daniel Levy and co expect PSG to cover Ndombele’s wages in full, although this number is allegedly lower than the widely-reported £200,000.

Get French Football News reported this week that Ndombele was edging closer and closer to a Ligue 1 return in January, following claims the Lilywhites wanted to offload him (The Evening Standard).

The Athletic revealed last week that Tottenham and PSG were in talks over a possible loan deal, reuniting Ndombele with Mauricio Pochettino, who originally signed him for Spurs

If the Evening Standard are to be believed, Spurs also want a guarantee that Ndombele will eventually make the permanent move to Paris, thus insisting on an obligation-to-buy clause.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I can completely understand this from Spurs. Ndombele has been a problem for well over a year now and, if they loan out their record signing, they want to make sure the money is guaranteed to come in eventually. The last thing they want is to simply get him back again.
