Report: Tottenham weighing up move for Serie A winger

Tottenham Hotspur are currently weighing up a move for Sampdoria winger Mikkel Damsgaard, according to SampNews24.

The North Londoners were linked with a move for the 20-year-old back in February having having been impressed with his performances in Serie A, with Spurs said to have asked Sampdoria to be kept informed of any developments (Daily Star).

Fabio Paratici’s appointment as managing director of football at Spurs have seen the reports re-emerge with the former Juventus man reported to have closely monitored Damsgaard during his time in Italy but face competition from Juventus and Inter Milan.

Sampdoria are keen to keep hold of Dansgaard, who is currently on international duty with Denmark at Euro 2020, but could be tempted to part company if they receive an offer in excess of €20m (£17.1m).

Damsgaard only joined Sampdoria in a £5million deal from Danish outfit Nordsjaelland last season but has had a solid first season in Italy, having featured in 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists (transfermarkt).
