Report: Tottenham will ‘consider offers’ of £60m for first-team star this summer

Richarlison could be on his way out of Tottenham Hotspur this summer, and the club are thought to be keen to listen to offers for the Brazilian if it means they can recoup the £60m they paid for him in 2022.

Despite struggling in his first season with Spurs, we have seen a great resurgence in Richarlison this year, with the marksman bagging 12 goals in all competitions for the Lilywhites (Transfermarkt).

His latest came in the recent defeat to Liverpool, where he came off the bench and changed the game for Ange Postecoglou‘s side, adding an assist to his tally, too.

However, with Postecoglou eager to change his squad this summer, it has been suggested that Richarlison is among those who are available for transfer (Telegraph).

According to TBRFootball, clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested, with newly-promoted Al-Qadisiyah top of the list when it comes to those looking at Richarlison. It is believed Saudi clubs would pay £60m for Richarlison (The Athletic).

Spurs want their money back for Richarlison

The idea of that kind of offer coming in is clearly appealing for Spurs, as it would see them make back their money on the transfer fee they paid to Everton in 2022.

According to sources at Football Insider, Tottenham would accept a bid of £60m as they are “keen to recoup” the money they shelled out in the first place.

The report claims Richarlison has “fallen out of favour” again at Spurs, and a “definitive replacement” for Harry Kane is now expected to be in the offing this summer.

With this in mind, Richarlison would fall down the pecking order at Spurs and will be allowed to leave. But, they will only sanction a move if the valuation of £60m is matched.

Spurs Web Opinion

I really don’t want us to sell Richarlison. He’s an incredibly hard-working player who gives everything for the team, and to have him as a backup striker would show really good strength in depth. Just because we are wanting to sign a top striker, doesn’t mean we have to get rid of Richarlison.
