Report: Tottenham will look to sign two more attackers In January

The Daily Mail have claimed that Antonio Conte will look to make two attacking additions to his Tottenham squad before the end of the month.

It emerged after Conte’s meeting with the Spurs hierarchy earlier in the week that the North London club are expected to target a central midfielder, a right-wing-back and a striker this month.

It was suggested that the Tottenham head coach was willing to put off signing a centre-back until the end of the season.

However, The Mail have now revealed that on the back of Conte’s meeting with Daniel Levy and Fabio Partici, Spurs will target a wing-back and two attackers in January.

The report explains that Adama Traore is Tottenham’s top right wing-back target and that there is a ‘strong’ chance of the Spaniard joining Spurs from Wolves over the coming weeks.

Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic is said to fit the profile of striker Spurs are looking for but it is suggested a deal for the Serbian could prove ‘unviable’ this month.

The Mail also add that Spurs have expressed an interest in Jesse Lingard but claim that the Man Utd man would prefer to move abroad as a free agent at the end of the season.

Finally, the report reveals that Dele Alli, Matt Doherty and Tanguy Ndombele are expected to depart Tottenham before the end of the month.

Spurs Web Opinion

Based on the various reports that have emerged over the last week, it sounds like Spurs are targeting a right wing-back, a forward and an attacking midfielder (like Kessie or Lingard). The Traore deal appears certain to go through.

Between the other two, I think a forward would be a bigger priority for Conte than a number 8, particularly if we fail to find buyers for Dele and Ndombele.
