Rio Bromfield swaps Spurs for Gladbach

The left-back has now got his wishes, with the report confirming that he will join Gladbach’s academy at the end of the season.

The 16-year-old had also impressed for England’s youth sides for the last couple of years but interestingly, he decided to switch allegiances to Germany back in November.

Since doing so, Bromfield has already represented Germany’s Under-16s twice and the young defender will now be playing his club football in Germany from next summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like Bromfield is a big loss to Tottenham but when youngsters make up their mind to move to a side where they feel there is an easier first-team pathway, there is very little that can be done.
