Report: Tottenham’s Daniel Levy keen not to miss out on Brentford wonderkid

According to a report from EuroSport, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on snapping up Brentford wonderkid, Marcus Forss, who has made a terrific start to the season after breaking into Thomas Frank’s side.

Tottenham were rumoured to be after Ollie Watkins in the summer (Football Insider) but it was Aston Villa who snapped him up. The North Londoners may be ruing their mistake given the start the 24-year-old has made to life at Villa Park.

However, if Eurosport are to be believed, Spurs are determined not to miss out on another potential gem from the Bees in the form of Forss.

The 21-year-old impressed during his loan spell at Wimbledon in the first half of last season, netting 11 times in 18 League One games.

While the centre forward struggled to get a look in on his return to the Brentford Community Stadium last season, the departure of Watkins has seen him get game time at the start of this campaign.

Forss has certainly grabbed the opportunity with both hands, already netting seven goals, and his performances have seen him capped three times for Finland.

EuroSport reveal that Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring the Brentford starlet but suggest that Daniel Levy is keen to ensure that Spurs do not miss the chance to sign him.
