Report: Tottenham’s game against Palace could now go ahead as planned

London World journalist Rahman Osman has revealed that Tottenham’s clash against Crystal Palace today could go ahead as planned despite the Covid-19 cases in the Palace camp.

Patrick Viera revealed a few days ago that there had been a couple of positive cases among the Eagles camp and the club were waiting to see how the situation developed.

Football.London then reported that Palace’s trip to North London was ‘highly likely’ to be called off due to further positive cases at the club.

If the game is postponed, it would be Tottenham’s fourth Premier League game of the month to not go ahead after the Lilywhites’ saw their clashes against Burnley, Brighton and Leicester called off.

However, Osman has now revealed on social media that the Palace players have received messages to head to camp this morning.

The journalist stated there will be another round of tests today and in the absence of any new cases, the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will go ahead as planned.

This information has also been backed up by the The Athletic, who claim the match will take place if there are no further positive tests among the Palace squad today.
