The Telegraph have revealed that an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for Brennan Johnson is now imminent.

On Wednesday, we relayed an update from The Independent which claimed that Tottenham are still a long way off from meeting Nottingham Forest’s asking price for Johnson.

The same information was also backed up by The Times, who said that the deal could go right down the wire as Forest have no intention of relaxing their £50m asking price for the player.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mail claimed this morning that Brentford had also resurrected their pursuit of the Wales international after seeing their £43m offer for the player turned down last week.

Spurs will soon submit an offer for Brennan Johnson

If The Telegraph’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs are now set to submit an official offer to the Tricky Trees for Johnson.

The report alleges that the bid is expected to be launched today as the North London club aim to beat the Bees to the player’s signature.

The outlet asserts that Johnson is keen on making a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the transfer window closes.

Spurs Web Opinion

Despite the links to the likes of Ansu Fati and Johan Bakayoko over recent days, it was always quite clear that Johnson was Tottenham’s top target. I believe that Spurs will get this deal over the line and that there is a good chance of Davinson Sanchez heading the other way as a part of the operation.
