The Standard have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are open to selling Emerson Royal this month but only if they receive a ‘big money’ offer.
Various sources have reported over the last 24 hours that Al-Nassr’s opening €25m (£21.4m) offer for Emerson Royal had been turned down by Tottenham (Ben Jacobs).
However, it has subsequently been suggested by a few outlets, including Premier League Brasil, that the Saudi Pro League club are expected to return with an improved offer of around €35m (£30m) for the right-back.
The publication suggested that the 24-year-old is happy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and is not expected to push for a move while Spurs are also ‘satisfied’ with his performances and have no intention of losing him this month.

Tottenham open to Emerson Royal sale for ‘big money’
The Standard have now also confirmed Al-Nassr’s failed first offer for Emerson, with the outlet adding that the £20m bid was considered ‘derisory’ by the Premier League side.
Interestingly, they say that Ange Postecoglou’s men would consider selling the defender but only for a ‘big’ offer. So, it is suggested that the Saudi side would have to ‘considerably up the stakes’ to have a chance of landing the Brazilian.
Spurs Web Opinion
As much as Spurs would not want to lose an important squad player like Emerson mid-season, he definitely has a price. I suspect that Tottenham will have something to seriously think about if Al-Nassr increase their offer to around £35m.
