Tottenham Hotspur are still on the hunt for a new striker to act as a stand-in for Harry Kane during his lengthy injury spell this season.
The England captain managed to rupture the tendon in his left hamstring at the very start of this month and Spurs have pencilled in early April as a potential return date.
That leaves Spurs without a senior striker for months on end, after Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen both left North London in the summer.
Transfer insider, Graeme Bailey, has now claimed that Olivier Giroud’s agent is attempting to engineer a move for his client to Tottenham. However, Bailey adds that he cannot see Chelsea allowing such a move.
Understand that Olivier Giroud’s agent is trying to engineer a move to Tottenham…things could be about to get interesting, but hard to see Chelsea sanctioning such a move.

Of course, Spurs and Chelsea are involved in a fight for the top four this season, with Tottenham now just six points behind, so it seems unlikely that the Blues would offer a helping hand.
Giroud also played 253 games for Spurs’ arch-rivals Arsenal, as well as 70 for Chelsea (Wikipedia).
Spurs Web Opinion:
Not a chance. Chelsea would never agree to a move. I doubt Spurs would even want the ex-Arsenal man. And I think there are better players out there than the 33-year-old.
