Report: Transfer target has heart set on ‘dream’ move, but not to Tottenham

Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a wanted man during the current transfer window having been linked with a move to both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United (The Sun).

The Old Trafford outfit have stolen a march on Tottenham after already having a bid in the region of £40million rejected by Palace and are set to make an improved £50million offer to land the right-back (The Sun).

Wan-Bissaka is now said to have told Palace that he wants to make the ‘dream’ move to United and has become frustrated at the rejected transfer request (The Sun).

The England Under-21 had been on Tottenham’s radar as a potential replacement for Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier, who have both had a mediocre campaign in North London (The Sun).

While it appears that Manchester United are looking to improve their defence and are making moves early on in the transfer window, Spurs supporters will certainly be hoping that it’s not a case of Daniel Levy and co waiting until the last few hours before trying to conduct their business.

In previous years, it has proven that when players arrive close to the season and have not had a full ‘Pochettino’ pre-season it can take them a number of months to get up to speed with how the Spurs boss expects them to play and the work rate that comes with it.
