Report: Troy Parrott scores against Olympiacos in the UEFA Youth League

Tottenham Hotspur may be kicking off their senior Champions League campaign in the next hour or so, but the youth team took to the pitch a little earlier today (Football London).

Although some Spurs fans would have been hoping to see Troy Parrott alongside the likes of Harry Kane today, he lined up for the U19 team in Greece.

However, this did not stunt his goalscoring form, as the Irish teenager bagged yet another goal in an impressive start to the season.

After a nice through ball from Richards, Parrott ran through and finished coolly past the Olympiacos keeper.

Unfortunately, Spurs were unable to hold onto the lead that Parrott gave them in the opening 15 minutes, as Olympiacos made in 1-1 before half-time.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, but Troy Parrott will take the headlines.

This comes off the back of three goals in two games for the Republic of Ireland U21 team in the international break.

Spurs Web Opinion:

There are big things to come from this lad, but Pochettino looks to be taking his time with him. No Marcus Edwards mistakes to be repeated here.
