L’Equipe have claimed that Galatasaray have now contacted Tottenham over a late deal for Tanguy Ndombele.
It has been widely reported that Ndombele is one of the players that Spurs are looking to offload this week, with Ange Posteocoglou said to be unimpressed with the midfielder’s attitude (The Sun).
Over recent weeks, it has emerged that several Ligue 1 clubs are exploring the possibility of offering the 26-year-old a route back to France (Lyall Thomas).
It was also reported earlier this month that Galatasaray and Fenerbahce had launched €10m (£8.6m) offers for the 26-year-old but the player was not overly keen on a switch to Turkey (Foot Mercato).
Galatasaray remain keen on Tanguy Ndombele
If L’Equipe’s latest update is to be believed, Galatasaray have not given up hope of landing Ndombele just yet.
The report adds that the Istanbul giants are keen on bolstering their midfield before the window closes and have now contacted Spurs to try and reach an agreement over the Frenchman.
The publication does not reveal if Galatasaray are looking to complete a loan deal or a permanent one but it adds that the former Lyon man hopes to find a new team so that he can get regular football under his belt this season.
This all comes as Fabrizio Romano reveals Genoa are also trying to convince Ndombele to join them after they agreed terms on a loan deal with Spurs.
Spurs Web Opinion
If Ndombele is willing to accept a move to Galatasaray, I believe Tottenham would be happy to sell him for a nominal fee as the North London club’s priority would be to get his salary off their books.
