Report: Turkish giants to hold talks for Spurs player ahead of transfer deadline

Besiktas are set to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou over a possible switch ahead of the transfer deadline.

According to Turkish news outlet Takvim, Besiktas are keen to bring the 23-year-old in on loan before the window closes on Thursday at 11pm BST.

Nkoudou made his first start for Spurs since 2017 when he was named in Mauricio Pochettino’s side for yesterdays disappointing FA Cup fourth round defeat to Crystal Palace.

The former Marseille man played the full 90 minutes but was largely ineffective with Spurs struggling to create any worthwhile chances in the attacking third.

Due to Tottenham’s ongoing injury issues, Nkoudou has been more involved in Pochettino’s first team plans than he has been in a considerable amount of time but the reality is that he continues to disappoint when given the chance to shine.

His best piece of play in a Spurs shirt came when he recently provided the late assist for Harry Winks’ header that saw Spurs beat Fulham.

Hopefully, Daniel Levy will insist that a permanent clause will be included.
