Report: Two clubs express interest in Spurs’ summer signing

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Fulham and Brentford have both expressed an interest in taking Jack Clarke on loan for the second half of the season.

The 19-year-old, who moved to Tottenham from Leeds last summer in a deal worth £11 million (Daily Mail), was loaned back to the Championship club for the 2019/20 campaign.

However, he has hardly been used at all this season by Marcelo Bielsa, after making just three first team appearances (transfermarkt).

The report claims that Spurs have the option to recall Clarke in January and plan to exercise that option following his lack of game time.

It is report that the club will subsequently look to loan him out to another Championship club with Fulham and Brentford said to his most likely destinations.

The speedy winger won a lot of admirers last season when he broke into the Leeds first team and will be hoping to recapture that form in the second half of this campaign.

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that Brentford and Fulham – two teams who are vying for promotion themselves – want Clarke, certainly tells you that he is still quite highly rated. Hopefully, the 19-year-old can get a move to a team where he gets game time and has a good six months before coming back to Spurs in the summer.
