Report: Two clubs other than Man City make contact with Kane’s representatives

According to a report from ESPN, Chelsea and Manchester United both remain interested in Harry Kane and have contacted the striker’s representatives.

Reports over the past few weeks have indicated that Manchester City is Kane’s most likely destination if he is to leave Tottenham this summer.

It was reported earlier this week that City have already made an opening offer of £100m for the England captain and are also willing to offer the likes of Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte and Gabriel Jesus to Spurs as a part of the deal.

However, other sources have denied that any such offer has been made for Kane so far.

ESPN have backed the latter, insisting that Spurs are yet to receive an offer for the 27-year-old.

The report adds that Raheem Sterling has no interest in being included in such a deal and that Daniel Levy is likely to reject any offer of around £100m for his prized asset.

It is further asserted that Man Utd and Chelsea are still in the race for Kane, with both clubs having spoken to the striker’s representatives about a potential transfer, just as City have.

One would think that the likes of City and United would not be speaking with Kane’s agent or testing the waters if they think there is no chance Levy is going to sell the striker. If it is true that they are plotting an offer, it could be because they have been informed by Kane’s representatives that despite playing hardball, Tottenham could cash in on the striker for the right price.
