Report: Two European giants hold interest in Spurs midfielder

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan both hold an interest in Dele Alli, amid rumoured uncertainty over the midfielder’s future.

Reports initially indicated that the 24-year-old could join Real Madrid as part of the deal that saw Gareth Bale return to Spurs (Telegraph), but that has not turned out to be the case, with Bale instead set to join on a season-long loan deal.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein has since claimed that Tottenham do not wish to sell the former MK Dons man this transfer window, while Jose Mourinho was also adamant that there no issue between him and Dele despite the England midfielder despite being taken off at half time against Everton (Football.London).

Dele was one of eight players who Mourinho left back in London for Spurs’ trip to Bulgaria to play Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Thursday with The Mail suggesting there is a strong possibility that he will not be at Spurs when the transfer window shuts.

It is said that there is a growing feeling among all parties that the midfielder could benefit from a move away from North London to reinvigorate his career, with PSG and Inter both monitoring the situation closely.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think there is any chance that we cash-in on Dele this summer as I do not believe any club is likely to meet our valuation for the midfielder. I also believe that he is still very much a part of Jose’s plans. However, this season is a crucial one in the 24-year-old’s career as I can see him being sold next summer if he fails to deliver.
