Football Insider have said that Ryan Sessegnon and Micky van de Ven are the closest to a return from Tottenham’s injury list, with both players expected to be back in action in January.
Even though Ange Postecoglou has been boosted by the returns of Richarlison and Pape Matar Sarr over recent weeks, Tottenham’s injury list remains long, with Sessegnon and Van de Ven being accompanied by Rodrigo Bentancur, James Maddison, Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic on the treatment table.
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold provided a positive update on Sessegnon last week, stating the left-back is now in the final stages of his rehabilitation and could return in a couple of weeks.
Micky Van de Ven is also closer to a Spurs return
Football Insider have now asserted that both Sessegnon and Van de Ven are in the advanced stages of their respective rehabilitation programs.
The outlet alleges that the Dutchman and the former Fulham star are expected to be back in action before the end of January.
Meanwhile, Paul O Keefe, who often breaks news on social media about developments at Hotspur Way, has said that Van de Ven has started training outdoors, suggesting that the centre-back could potentially make his comeback in the FA Cup clash against Burnley on January 5.

While Davies has done well over the last few weeks, having Van de Ven back would be a huge boost as the Dutchman’s ability on the ball not only helps our build-up play but his recovery pace means that the team can afford to maintain a slightly higher line and squeeze the opposition up the pitch.
