Report: Two La Liga players are reportedly on Mourinho’s summer transfer wish list

Real Madrid central defender Eder Militao and Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia are both said to be on the top of Jose Mourinho’s wishlist as he goes about putting his stamp on the Tottenham squad in the summer.

Spanish publication Diario AS (citing Sky Sports) claim that Tottenham are preparing a rebuild that will cost them in the region of €145 million when the transfer market reopens.

Mourinho is said to be a fan of Militao, who has seen very little game time at the Spanish capital since moving from Porto last summer (El Desmarque).

Meanwhile, Sky Sports revealed last week that Spurs have been tracking Kondogbia since 2017 and could make a move for him in the summer.

While Militao is expected to cost around €40 million, it is suggested that Spurs could get Kondogbia for around €28 million.

Aside from the Real Madrid and Valencia pair, talkSPORT names Youcef Atal, Jamal Lewis and Marcel Sabitzer as the possible targets for the Champions League finalists.

Spurs Web Opinion

Defensive midfield and central defence are arguably the two areas where we are in most desperate need of new additions and so it is no surprise to see Jose’s prioritising those areas. While I believe Kondogbia can add a lot to our squad, I haven’t been convinced by what I’ve seen of Militao. However, if Jose feels he is the right man for us, then the club should spend whatever it takes to bring him in.
