Report: Two managers linked with Spurs job also on AS Roma’s radar

According to a report in Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Julian Nagelsmann and Massimiliano Allegri, who have been linked with the Spurs job are also on AS Roma’s radar.

There have previously been reports that Jose Mourinho could be sacked by Tottenham if he does not manage to get the club into the top four, with Naglesmann reported to be the North London club’s preferred replacement (Telegraph).

90 min revealed earlier this week that Diego Simeone and Allegri have intimated an interest in taking over at Spurs.

Corriere dello Sport claim that Roma are on the lookout for a replacement for Paulo Fonseca, with the Nagelsmann being the club’s first choice.

However, the Serie A club are now said to understand that getting the RB Leipzig boss would be difficult, with both Spurs and Bayern Munich keeping tabs on the 33-year-old.

The report suggests that Giallorossi have now turned their attentions to Allegri, with the former Juventus boss now the favourite for the role.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would rather see Spurs hang on Jose than appoint Allegri as the former Juve boss’ tactical approach would be quite similar to Mourinho’s. If Spurs do fail to finish in the top four and Jose is sacked, it is clear that Nagelsmann is the most realistic and promising manager we can hope to get as I do not see Brendan Rodgers jumping ship at Leicester.
