Report: Two obstacles stand in the way of Tottenham’s deal for Dybala

Juventus have reportedly accepted a €70million bid from Tottenham Hotspur to sign Paulo Dybala (Sky Italy).

However, the excitement of Spurs fans could be short-lived with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming that there are still two major obstacles to overcome; the player’s personal terms and control of his image rights.

The report claims that given the tight deadline to try and get the deal completed by 5pm on Thursday and given the circumstances surrounding what happened with Manchester United, it could be difficult to get it over the line.

Dybala’s lucrative wage demands and his agents’ exorbitant fees are said to be why Manchester United decided to withdraw their interest in the playmaker along with the player’s apparent reservations about moving to Old Trafford (Daily Telegraph).

Tottenham fans will certainly be hoping that Daniel Levy can pull out all the stops and bring Dybala to North London in what would be a huge statement of intent of the club’s ambitions.
