Report: Two Spurs players spotted training for the first time in a while

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Japhet Tanganga and Gedson Fernandes were both spotted training with the Tottenham squad at Hotspur Way yesterday before their Europa League clash against Ludogorets this evening.

Tanganga has been extremely unlucky with injuries over the past few months that prevented him from building on his impressive displays last season.

A back injury prevented him from having a proper pre-season while a subsequent hip injury has put the defender out of action for the last few weeks (transfermarkt.com).

The 21-year-old’s only appearance this campaign has come in the EFL cup third-round win over Chelsea on penalties.

It looks like the defender has now returned to training, although there has been no confirmation if he has travelled to Bulgaria with the rest of the squad.

Gold also revealed that Fernandes has not been spotted for a while at Hotspur Way in any video or photo footage from recent sessions before returning to training on Wednesday.

The Portuguese midfielder is not eligible to feature against the Bulgarian outfit this evening after being left out of Tottenham’s Europa League squad.
