Report: Two Spurs players to miss today’s match against Team K-League through illness

New Tottenham signings Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster are set to miss the club’s pre-season friendly against the K-League All Stars through illness, according to Football.London.

The report claims the pair will be absent from today’s fixture in South Korea with the next potential opportunity to make their Spurs debuts coming against Sevilla on Saturday.

Both travelled with the squad out to Seoul at the weekend and had been experiencing Antonio Conte’s brutal training methods with the group throughout the week.

Bissouma became Tottenham’s then third signing of the summer by joining on a four-year contract from Brighton in a deal worth £25 million plus add-ons (The Guardian).

Goalkeeper Forster was acquired early by the north London side after his contract with Southampton expired and arrived alongside Ivan Perisic as a free agent.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is pretty disappointing that both Bissouma and Forster won’t be able to feature in the opening friendly but there is not much anyone can do if they are not well enough.

Hopefully, they are both able to recover in time for the next friendly against Sevilla this weekend.
