Report: Two Tottenham players test positive for COVID-19 ahead of Newcastle match

Two Tottenham Hotspur players have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United, according to Football.London.

Journalist Alasdair Gold has revealed that it is his understanding that two members of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad have tested positive for the virus.

It is said that the positive results came following the international break with Nuno not deciding to disclose any information surrounding the news at the press conference which was held earlier this afternoon.

The un-named pair will not only miss the Newcastle match, but also the subsequent London derby against West Ham United and the Europa Conference League tie at Vitesse as part of their mandatory 10-day isolation period.
