Report: Two Tottenham stadium test events planned

There may finally be some good news regarding the new stadium for Tottenham fans, as reports today suggest that two test events may be planned for March.

This would indicated that an April grand opening date would be possible, perhaps against Brighton on April 6.

After their League match against Crystal Palace was postponed, Spurs now have no games between March 9 and March 31, giving the squad 22 days off to prepare for a key Liverpool clash.

This time could prove to be invaluable for the Lilywhites, not only to get their injured stars back as fit as possible, but to plan their delayed stadium opening.

The Evening Standard report that test events are being planned for March 16 and March 23, with Tottenham needing two successful events to pass health and safety inspections.

The first test event would likely be a training session for a crowd of 20,000-30,000, with the second event needing to be close to the 62,062 capacity.
