Reports from Italy are continuing to link Ruslan Malinovskyi with a move to Tottenham, with the North London club now said to be battling Marseille for the Atalanta star’s signature.
According to TuttoAtalanta’s latest update on Malinovskyi, Spurs remain keen on signing the attacking midfielder on an initial loan deal with an option to make it permanent.
However, it is explained that Atalanta would like a straight sale or at least a loan with an obligation to buy, with the Serie A club valuing the player at €20m (£16.9m).
The report adds that despite Malinovskyi giving his approval for the transfer to Spurs, the two clubs are still ‘far apart’ in their respective valuations.
Meanwhile, CalcioMercato have now reported that the Atalanta star’s wife Roksana Malinovsky has posted a farewell message to the city of Bergamo on Instagram, indicating that a transfer of some kind is likely before the end of the transfer window.
The report adds that the race for the Ukrainian is now between Spurs and Marseille, with the Ligue 1 said to be exploring a player exchange operation.

Malinovsky would tick a lot of boxes for Spurs as not only would he be able to play as a number eight in case Conte shifts to a 3-5-2 but he can also cover for Dejan Kulusevski on the right. Additionally, the Ukrainian is likely to be content with a bit-part role, unlike the other big names we have been linked with over recent weeks.
