Report: Anonymous club make stunning £75m offer for Spurs target

According to the latest reports from France, Tottenham Hotspur target, Victor Osimhen, has been the subject of a sensational £75 million bid from an unnamed club.

The Lille striker is arguably one of the most highly-rated young forwards in world football at this moment in time, with the 21-year-old coming into his own this season while netting 18 goals in 38 appearances (transfermarkt).

Tottenham were linked with a move for Oshimen in January (Sky Sports) as they attempted to bring in a striker to help them cope without the injured Harry Kane but they ended their search empty-handed.

Spurs could face considerable competition if they return for the Lille star’s services in the summer, with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona (Le10Sport), Manchester United (Le 10 via Inside Football), Arsenal, and Manchester City (Le Quotidien du Foot) all said to be interested in landing him.

The Nigerian international admitted last month that he dreams of playing in the Premier League in the future (Independent).

French publication Telefoot have now thrown a bombshell by revealing on social media that Lille have received an offer of around £75 million for the striker, although they claimed that the identity of the bidder is unknown.

Spurs Web Opinion

With Joao Sacramento having worked with Oshimen at Lille, he probably has a personal relationship with the striker and knows well of his qualities. However, there is no chance that we have bid anywhere near £75 million for the striker given the financial problems we are facing at the moment. In fact, our whole transfer budget is likely to be less than that amount unless we sell a big name like Ndombele.
