Report: Villarreal name asking price for Danjuma amid Spurs and Everton links

The Sun have revealed that Villarreal want £35m for rumoured Tottenham target Arnaut Danjuma this transfer window.

Multiple outlets have indicated that Antonio Conte is prioritising signing an attacker along with a right wing-back this month (Football.London) but it is unclear who Tottenham’s top attacking target is.

Brighton’s Leandro Trossard (90 min) and Sporting Lisbon’s Marcus Edwards (Correio da Manha via Sport Witness) have both been mooted as potential targets for Spurs in the past few weeks.

The Daily Mail claimed over the weekend that the North London club were one of four Premier League sides who had expressed an interest in Danjuma, along with Everton, Aston Villa, and Bournemouth.

The report asserted that the striker will be allowed to leave El Madrigal on loan this month after falling out with some of his Villarreal teammates.

The Atheltic’s David Ornstein then claimed on Monday that the Dutch international’s representatives had arrived in London to hold talks with multiple clubs.

The Sun have now provided an update on Danjuma’s future, explaining that Bournemouth are ‘keen’ on bringing the 25-year-old back to the Vitality Stadium.

However, the publication adds that the Cherries have been informed by Villarreal that they would have to pay a guaranteed fee of £35m to land the forward.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Danjuma will be anywhere near the top of Conte’s wishlist as the Dutchman is ideally suited to playing as a number nine – a position where Spurs are well stocked with Harry Kane and Richarlison. A versatile attacker like Trossard will add more depth to the squad across different positions.
