West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Burnley winger Dwight McNeil, who has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham, according to The Sun.

The report explains the 22-year-old could be made available this summer following the Clarets’ relegation to the Championship, with the Premier League pair monitoring the situation.

It is added that Burnley are likely to demand a fee north of £10 million for the England youth international and are anticipating a departure as the rebuild under new manager Vincent Kompany continues (Express).

90min reported last month that Tottenham enquired about a potential transfer for McNeil but were joined by a host of other top-flight sides that also held an interest.

McNeil, along with his Burnley teammates, endured a tough campaign last season as their six-year stay in the Premier League came to an end. Despite featuring in every league game, he failed to register a single goal or assist (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

McNeil was part of a very poor Burnley side last season and although his numbers are poor on paper, he can still be a decent asset.

As well as being homegrown, he still has room to grow as a player, although a club like Tottenham may not necessarily be the best fit for him.
