Report: West Ham and Everton are ready to challenge Spurs for defender

Udinese Blog have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur now face plenty of competition for Udinese right-back Festy Ebosele ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ebosele has come on leaps and bounds since swapping Derby for Udinese back in 2022 and the 21-year-old’s performances in the Serie A this season have caught the attention of several top-flight teams.

Tottenham’s interest in the full-back came to light last week when HITC stated that Ange Postecoglou’s men are tracking the youngster’s performance ahead of a potential summer offer.

Tottenham have competition for Festy Ebosele

However, Udinese Blog have now asserted that more English clubs have now entered the race for Ebosele’s signature over the past few days.

The report says that it is ‘not only Tottenham’ who are following the right-back closely but also West Ham United and Everton, who are both thought to be plotting moves for the youngster.

In addition, the publication adds that the Championship duo, Leeds United and Southampton are also considering offers for the Republic of Ireland international.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is not surprising that a few English sides are looking at Ebosele since the 21-year-old is considered homegrown, having spent his formative years at Derby.

Tottenham will hope that the relationship they established with Udinese during the Destiny Udogie deal would give them an advantage over other suitors.
