Report: West Ham handed injury boost as they welcome first-team star back

Tottenham have endured a horrible start to the new Premier League season under Mauricio Pochettino, especially considering the fact they finished fourth last year.

Spurs have taken just 14 points from their opening 12 matches in the Premier League, with only three wins to their name all season.

This puts the Lilyehites comfortably in the bottom half of the table, sitting in 14th position and closer to the relegation zone than the top four.

One of the few teams having a worse time of it than Spurs this season is West Ham United, who sit in 16th on 13 points.

Next up for Spurs is an away trip against the Hammers, their London rivals, with West Ham having the chance to leapfrog Tottenham.

West Ham are also reportedly set to welcome Michail Antonio back into the side ahead of the match, a major boost for the struggling team (Football Insider).

The Telegraph implied earlier this week that the match could be a make or break one for Pochettino at Tottenham.
