Report: West Ham interested in Spurs man who has been told he can leave

Eurosport have revealed that West Ham United hold an interest in Dele Alli after Tottenham informed the midfielder that he is free to leave the club.

Alli has had just one start under Antonio Conte and it was previously reported that the Italian had informed the club to move the 25-year-old on in January.

The former MK Dons man was said to be attracting interest from Newcastle United and from Germany (The Telegraph).

Eurosport have now claimed that West Ham have also joined Newcastle in the race for Alli, with the Hammers identifying the Spurs man as an alternative to Jesse Lingard.

The report explains that Spurs have told the England international they would not stand in the way of a move in January.

Alli’s representatives are said to working on various options ahead of the January transfer window. However, the report alleges that Daniel Levy would prefer selling the midfielder to a foreign club rather than a Premier League rival.

Spurs Web Opinion

Dele’s days at Spurs look numbered and I believe that he needs to leave for the sake of his own career as he could do with a fresh start.

However, with West Ham looking like they could challenge for fourth place this season, Tottenham might not be too keen on strengthening their London rivals.
