Report: West Ham look to steal march on Spurs for winger

According to a report in The Sun, West Ham United are considering making a £15m offer for rumoured Spurs target Jarrod Bowen in the January transfer window.

Tottenham were reported to be one of the front runners for the Hull City winger, having sent scouts to watch him in action on more than one occasion this season (The Chronicle).

Bowen’s contract with Hull City runs out at the end of the campaign but the Championship club reportedly have an option to activate a one-year extension to keep him at the KCOM Stadium until 2021 (The Chronicle).

The 23-year-old has been in terrific form so far this season having notched up 17 goals in 24 appearances for the Tigers already (transfermarkt).

Hull manager Grant McCann recently insisted that Bowen will not be leaving the club in the January transfer window (Nottingham Post).

However, if the report in the Sun is to be believed, West Ham could test the waters with a £15 million bid next month.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Bowen is a brilliant talent and as a wide forward who can play on the right-hand side, he will be a fantastic addition to our squad. If we don’t move for him and allow him to join another Premier League club, I can see his value doubling or tripling in a years’ time just like it did with James Maddison.
