Report: West Ham set to open talks with winger allegedly wanted by Spurs

The Athletic have revealed that West Ham United are set to open talks with Hull City over winger Keane Lewis-Potter, who is also thought to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Lewis-Potter has amassed 12 goals and four assists in all competitions for a struggling Hull side this season (Transfermarkt) and his performances have earned him a call up to the England Under-21 squad.

Hull Live reported in January that the 21-year-old’s displays had caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, including Spurs, and added that the Lilywhites were planning an offer for the youngster before the deadline.

The Daily Mail reported last month that the winger continues to be on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window, with West Ham also said to hold an interest in the youngster.

If The Athletic’s latest report is to be believed, it is the Hammers who are set to make the first move for Lewis-Potter.

The report reveals that David Moyes’ side are keen to do business again with the Tigers following their purchase of Jarrod Bowen in 2020.

West Ham are now said to be ready to begin negotiations for the winger, who is allegedly valued at around £18m by Hull.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs have been linked with a whole host of talents from the EFL including the likes of Lewis-Potter, Brennan Johnson, Djed Spence, and Ronnie Edwards.

That suggests that the club are on the lookout for gems from the lower league ahead of the summer, which is understandable given our issues with the homegrown rule at the moment.
