Report: What Conte has told Kane about winning trophies with Spurs in psychology plan

According to a report from London World, Antonio Conte is taking several measures to get Harry Kane back among the goals, including working on the striker’s psychology.

Kane has only scored one goal in the Premier League so far this season but Conte has insisted he is happy with the striker’s performances.

However, London Sport have revealed that the Italian is taking several measures behind the scenes to ensure Kane is back among the goals.

This includes working on the striker’s psychology to help him recover from the disappointment of the failed transfer to Manchester City in the summer.

It is explained the Spurs boss has thrown in the idea that it would be much more valuable for Kane to win a league title at his boyhood club rather than winning it elsewhere.

Conte is also said to be trying to adapt Kane’s positioning to ensure he remains up top rather than dropping deep too often. The Italian is allegedly wanting the England captain to lead the side’s press.

Conte also is thought to feel that Kane does not have enough competition for his place and that fighting for his spot in the starting eleven will get the best from him.

Finally, it is revealed that the 52-year-old believes that the Spurs vice-captain is one of the players who needs to lose weight in order to be more mobile.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs fans should take this report with a pinch of salt as it is not like Kane is playing badly. He is just having a barren patch in front of goal but his performances since Conte’s arrival have generally been very good.

So, I am not convinced that the Italian will want to change a whole lot with regards to Kane’s positioning or his psychology. I believe that Conte will get the best out of the 28-year-old in due course, particularly given his track record of working with other strikers.
