Report: What Jose Mourinho is going to use the winter break to achieve at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are now on their winter break after that dramatic late win in the FA Cup over Southampton last week.

The Lilywhites do not feature again until February 16 when they face an away trip to Aston Villa in the Premier League, looking to make it three wins on the bounce in the competition.

A number of the Spurs players have been given time off by Jose Mourinho this week, as the likes of Dele Alli and Ryan Sessegnon travelled to Dubai.

However, the work never stops for the Special One, who instead chose to travel to Germany to watch upcoming Champions League opponents RB Leipzig take on Bayern.

The Evening Standard report that Mourinho arrived back in London on Monday morning, which marked the beginning of a ‘much-anticipated spell of training.’

It is claimed that Jose wanted his players to rest after a congested fixture period, but will now use the uninterrupted week to work on tactics and getting his ideas across to the squad above all else. The Standard label this as a planned ‘tactics masterclass’ from Jose.
