Report: What Man United have been told by Tottenham about Harry Kane

The Daily Mail have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have informed Manchester United that Harry Kane is not for sale this summer.

Over the past few days, speculation linking Harry Kane with a move to Real Madrid has gathered steam, with some Spanish outlets claiming that the Spurs star is keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu while Daniel Levy prefers selling him to a club outside the Premier League (Marca).

Alfredo Pedulla claims that Kane is actually ‘very close’ to sealing a move to Madrid after a breakthrough in talks between Spurs and Los Blancos.

It remains to be seen what that means for Man United‘s pursuit of the Tottenham man and The Mail have now suggested that it is not good news.

The outlet claims that the Red Devils have been told by Spurs that the England captain is not for sale.

However, it is explained that Erik Ten Hag’s men are not prepared to call off their pursuit of the centre forward just yet.

The publication adds that the 29-year-old, who has also has interest from Saudi Arabia, Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich, has been leaning towards seeing out the final year of his contract and leaving on a free next summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not see Levy selling Kane to Man Utd under any circumstances this summer.

While the Spurs chairman might consider selling the striker to Real Madrid, I suspect that the 29-year-old would want to run down his contract and make a decision on his future next summer.
