Report: What Paulo Dybala plans to do as contract runs down amidst Spurs links

According to the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), rumoured Tottenham target Paulo Dybala will not talk to any clubs before he has sat down with Juventus to discuss his future.

Dybala’s current deal with Juventus runs out in the summer (Transfermart) and it was reported last month that the Argentine had decided to leave the Serie A giants as a free agent at the end of the season (Tyc Sports).

90 min claimed last week that the 28-year-old’s representatives had offered the player to several clubs around Europe, including Spurs.

However, CalcioMercato reported just a couple of days ago that Juve had not given up hope of tying the forward down to a new deal and were planning on reopening negotiations.

This has now been backed up by Gazzetta, who suggests that Dybala will not talk to any interested club before he sits down with Juventus.

The publication explains that the former Palermo man is of interest to Spurs, Manchester City and Inter Milan. However, the player is said to be waiting for ‘clarifications’ from Juve before making a decision on his future.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is still plenty of time to go until the summer and so there could be plenty more twists and turns in this Dybala saga.

My gut feeling is that he will agree on a new contract with Juve. If he does not and is available for free, there will likely be a whole host of clubs from around the continent battling it out for his signature.
