Report: What Spurs fans were chanting about Levy and Pochettino against Everton

As Tottenham Hotspur played Everton on Monday night, chants demanding Daniel Levy leave the club could be heard at Goodison Park, as well as support for former manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Despite being outplayed for much of the game, Tottenham took the lead in the 68th minute thanks to a Harry Kane penalty.

Everton had gone down to ten men shortly before that after Abdoulaye Doucoure struck Kane in the face and was shown the red card.

However, Spurs failed to make their advantage count and were pegged back when Everton defender Michael Keane smashed a long-range effort past Hugo Lloris in the 89th minute.

A frustrating end to the night sums up the mood around the club over the last few weeks, and that was reflected in the sounds coming from the away support on Monday night.

According to Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard, chants of “Daniel Levy, get out of our club” could be heard from the away stand at Goodison Park during the game.

There was also a chorus of “He’s magic you know, Mauricio Pochettino” from the Spurs fans, as the clamour for the Argentine’s return to the club grows.

The former manager has been linked to the vacant role at Tottenham, but the idea of a reunion is thought to have been ruled out by the club (Daily Star).

Spurs Web Opinion

I would like to see Daniel Levy leave the club. The mess right now has created such disharmony between the supporters and the club and it feels like it’s only going to get worse.

As for Pochettino, I really enjoyed his previous spell with Spurs, but I think we should move on and find a new manager.
