Report: When Bayern Munich hope to seal Harry Kane signing by

According to the print edition of SportBILD (as relayed by Sport Witness), Bayern Munich’s tactics to sign Harry Kane ‘seem to be working’, with the German club hoping to finalise a deal in the next few days.

We relayed an update from Florian Plettenberg, who stated that Bayern are not fearful of Paris Saint-Germain hijacking their pursuit of Kane as the German club believe the player wants to move to the Allianz Arena.

The journalist added that the Bayern hierarchy are expected to meet with Daniel Levy this week to try and strike a deal for the England captain.

Bayern Munich’s aggressive tactics are working

This claim has now been backed up by Bild, who state that the Bundesliga club’s officials will meet with the Tottenham chairman at the end of this week.

It is alleged that Bayern have already secured Kane’s commitment and have made it clear to the striker’s entourage that he will be handed a long-term deal worth €20m (£17.2m) per season.

There is now said to be increasing confidence at the Bavarian club that they will get their man and that their ‘tactics’ are forcing Tottenham into a sale.

Bild also assert that Bayern are hopeful that a deal for Kane could be finalised by the end of this month.

It now appears fairly clear that Bayern would get their man if they are able to make an offer that Levy deems to be acceptable.

The Spurs chairman should look to finalise the transfer as quickly as possible so that Postecoglou can plan with clarity for the campaign ahead.
