Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that James Maddison is expected to have his medical at Hotspur Way today.
Multiple outlets had indicated over the last week that Tottenham are confident of winning the race for Maddison (Daily Mail), and there appear to have been significant developments in the last 24 hours in the North London club’s pursuit of the attacking midfielder.

Fabrizio Romano claimed on Tuesday evening that the Lilywhites have reached a verbal agreement with Leicester City on a £40m fee for the 26-year-old, with only the final structure of the deal left to be ironed out between the two clubs.
The journalist added that the player had already agreed personal terms with the Lilywhites, with Daniel Levy said to be working on getting the transfer over the line.

Sheth has now taken to social media to back up Romano’s claim regarding an agreement between Tottenham and Leicester and added that Maddison is expected to undergo his medical today.

One does wonder if Maddison would have sought assurances about Harry Kane’s future before agreeing to sign for Tottenham.
Either way, it now looks like the 26-year-old will sign on the dotted line with the North London club barring an extraordinary turnaround.
