Report: When Matt Doherty will have his medical and officially complete Spurs move

It has been widely reported today that Tottenham Hotspur have now completed the signing of Wolves right-back, Matt Doherty (Daily Mail).

Doherty would become the Lilywhites’ third summer signing, following the acquisitions of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton and Joe Hart on a free transfer.

However, Football London have now claimed that the deal is not yet wrapped up, as the player himself is still on holiday.

It is reported that a deal has been agreed, but Doherty is not expected to undergo his medical until he returns from Sardinia. Fortunately, thanks to the open travel corridors between Italy and the UK, he will not have to quarantine.

The 28-year-old is reportedly set to touch back down in England as early as today, at which point he will undergo a medical. Spurs are said to be keen to get everything sorted before Doherty leaves to meet up with his international squad.

Therefore, if everything goes through as planned, Spurs fans could see Doherty in a Lilywhite shirt sometime this weekend.
