Report: When Spurs are expecting to learn the extent of Harry Kane’s hamstring injury

Tottenham Hotspur are set to learn the extent of Harry Kane’s hamstring injury in the next 48 hours when he undergoes a scan (Evening Standard).

Kane picked up the injury during the 75th minute of the 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Boxing Day.

The 26-year-old scored a goal which was later deemed to be offside and immediately clutched the back of his left leg before limping off the field with the assistance of a member of the Spurs medical team and was replaced by Erik Lamela.

The Spurs forward was spotted leaving St Mary’s on crutches after the match.

Spurs have a busy period of fixtures on the horizon which will see them face Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on Sunday followed by the visit of league leaders Liverpool on January 11th.

To add to their injury woes, club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele also went down injured during the first half against the Saints with both players now serious doubts to be fit for the third round tie at the Riverside.
