All eyes are on Heung-min Son and Yves Bissouma at Tottenham this week, as the pair have completed their international obligations and are being assessed ahead of a potential return to club duty at the weekend.
Both Bissouma and Son have been unavailable for Spurs through all of January and the first week of February, as they competed in the African Cup of Nations and the Asian Cup, respectively.
Bissouma saw his Mali side crash out at the quarter-finals stage over the weekend, and arrived back at Hotspur Way today to be assessed ahead of the game against Brighton on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Son was left disappointed as South Korea fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Jordan in the Asian Cup semi-final yesterday.
The Spurs skipper is thought to be heading straight back to Tottenham rather than travelling to South Korea with his international manager and the rest of the Korean squad (Sungmo Lee).

Sonny will be back at Spurs on Thursday
We now have a further update on Son’s situation now, thanks to Alasdair Gold, who tweeted: “Son is due back at Hotspur Way tomorrow after his Asian Cup journey came to an end.”
Charlie Eccleshare has more on the matter in his latest for The Athletic. He claims Son’s imminent return “puts him in line to feature for Ange Postecoglou’s side against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.”
In addition, Eccleshare tweeted: “Son back at Hotspur Way tomorrow, Bissouma returned today and is being assessed. Son will be assessed tomorrow. Standard practice on first day back.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Even just to have Sonny back on the bench would be an incredible lift on Saturday. If he’s fit, I imagine Postecoglou will want him straight back in the team, and Son himself will be desperate to get back on the pitch, I’m sure.
