Report: When Spurs will announce their first transfer of the summer

Tottenham Hotspur have now gone over 500 days without signing a new player but this barren spell looks to be on the verge of ending.

It was revealed earlier this week that an agreement between Spurs and Leeds United for winger Jack Clarke has been agreed with the fee said to be in the region of £10 million (Telegraph).

The 18-year-old featured 25 times for Leeds last season with just five of those appearances coming from the start of a match.

Clarke completed his medical at Hotspur Way earlier this week and will be unveiled as a Tottenham player on Monday, according to Leeds Live.

It was reported that aspects of his medical were particularly thorough as a precautionary measure after the youngster collapsed on the bench during a match against Middlesbrough in February. He did not feature for the first team for five weeks after the incident, which the club later confirmed was the result of a virus (Standard).

Fans will also be hoping that Tanguy Ndombele soon follows Clarke through the door in North London after what is already becoming the ‘Jack Grealish’ saga of this summer’s transfer window.
