Report: Why Palace loan move for Walker-Peters may be a double transfer boost for Spurs

It was well reported that Crystal Palace sold their brightest young right-back to Manchester United in the summer in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

However, it seems as if the Premier League club are now out on the hunt for a youthful replacement and have highlighted Tottenham’s Kyle Walker-Peters as a potential option.

Palace are apparently set to take the 22-year-old on loan until the end of the season, with Spurs asking for a fee in return for the move (Daily Mail).

Walker-Peters started the first three Premier League fixtures of the 2019/20 season but has struggled for game time ever since.

Not only will Spurs get a chance to see Walker-Peters getting some regular first-team football, but it may also boost their pursuit of a new right-back for themselves.

The Birmingham Mail report that this Walker-Peters deal throws Palace’s interest in Nathan Ferguson up in the air, a player Spurs have reportedly been looking at (Mirror).

Ferguson’s West Brom contract runs out in the summer and he has yet to sign a new deal, with Spurs apparently circling.
